The Employees made it to the top 12 Local Bands in Chicago in a contest by Q101 to play Jamboree 2011!  There will be 3 Shows with 4 bands each night and the winner of each night will play the Cubby Bear Stage @ Jamboree!  Our showcase is June 2nd at Cubby Bear (Wrigley) starting at 9pm and will be 100% FREE to get in.  The winner of that night is decided by fan voting and a panel of judges.  This is where we need your help!!!!   We need you guys more then ever to help get THE EMPLOYEES to JAMBOREE! Come out and lets show them how we rock……Employees style…..we will also have a couple special guests jamming with us that night!

The Employees had a blast at Otto’s May 20th.  This was the first time we have played our new concept album UNEMPLOYED, live and synced to a series of videos that were projected to help tell the story of our album.  The turn out was fantastic and we will be doing it again this summer when the album is officially done.  Thanks once again to EVERYONE that came out and all the positive feedback!  Stay Tuned for some more exciting show news that could land THE EMPLOYEES at Q101′s Jamboree 2011!

This is very exciting news for THE EMPLOYEES, this being their first show LIVE since June 2010 since Steve Ortiz (Drummer) leaving the band and the writing/recording of their new album UNEMPLOYED.  Also the band is very excited to play with SECRET COLOURS, a very groovy and talented band that has a lot in store for the future.  
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 The Employees plan on playing their entire new unreleased album, UNEMPLOYED, front to back, for the first time ever at this show! Come out and get a sneak peak of this concept album which will include debuting numerous songs for the first time, special guests, and a wild stage show! This show will also include, pictures with uncle sam (uncle sam pictured on the show poster), new merch – new t shirt designs, stickers, and new EMPLOYEES neckties! Come out and party with us along with some other very talented bands Secret colours, Torque Padroni, and Machine Gun Moses!

ALBUM UPDATE : The Employees concept album, UNEMPLOYED, is currently being mixed by Josh Miller (Troubled Hubble/Picture Books) and so far is sounding fantastic.  Political cartoonist, Cameron Cardow has completed the albums art work and we couldn’t be happier with his art and vision !  We are very close for the album being finished and the band can’t wait to get it in your hands!

We have been focusing most our time on our new album but recently are dusting off our acoustics for this unplugged show! This will be 100% **FREE** all acoustic/unplugged show with Chris, Ryan, and Henry of The Employees 4/13/11 @ McNallys in St. Charles, IL 8pm – 11pm.
